American Accent Group! (5 Week Course- Weekend)

You’ve been working on your American Accents but not sure where to go next? No fear, because Small Groups are here! In this course, we will hit the ground running. Starting with scene work and assigning partners from the start! Sessions are longer than the introductory course and will cover more material.

By working in a small group of creatives, you will not only be able to build a community to bounce ideas off of but also create scene work and get feedback from folks working on a similar skill set and skill level.

Dates and Times:

Sunday, September 25th- Sunday, October 23rd

10-11.30AM BST (London Time)

This is how it would work:

· 6 Participants will meet via Zoom

· Sessions will last 1hr and 30 mins. Over 7.5 hours of training

· It will cost £200 in total (£26 per hour!)

Who is the course for?

  • For the creative who wants to build a tool kit for General American

  • For the creative who has an understanding of the General American accent

  • For the creative who wants to try out different American dialects

  • For the creative who wants practice and dedicated feedback on scenes

What happens after I register? You'll be provided a ZOOM link for the workshop. You'll also receive a reminder 1 day and 1 hour before. Ensure you click "Subscribe to our email list" if you want to get the reminders. 

Can't attend LIVE? No worry, we'll send you the recording edited into mini-modules so you can watch the videos or listen to the audio lessons on the go. You'll also get a accent cheat sheet you can keep right next to your screen to remind of your new vocal skills throughout your practice.

Payment is due in full before the course start date. If you would like to withdraw from the course there is a full refund available if withdrawing from the course 1 week before the start date. 6 days before there is 50% refund available. Once the course starts, there is no refund available

Laura is a Voice and Dialect coach. She was born and raised in Central Florida. In 2014, she moved to London in order to study for her MFA in Vocal Studies at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has been London based ever since! Most recently, she has taken on the position as Voice Coach on Matilda the Musical in the West End. In addition, her clients have performed in TV, film, and award winning theatre.

Laura's work also includes working in theatres and drama schools like: Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Stratford Circus, The Old Red Lion, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and Rose Bruford College.
